Men "Myths"?

1. Men are emotionless - Nope. Men are as emotional as women, sometimes even more. Men are brought up and conditioned in such a way by society that they find it hard to express themselves. Therefore don't expect your man to be as emotionally open as you're. He will take some years and your love and support to learn how to open up.
2. Men only want sex - Wrong. Men also want sex, just like women do. Most men don't just go into a relationship/marriage to have sex only. Most men look for girlfriend/wife so that they have a partner to lean on for emotional needs as well. Men want love and care also. Once I read an answer of an escort. 3. Men who're a good son cannot be a good husband - Wrong. Depends upon the man in question and how well he can balance between relationships. Also depends upon the maturity of parents and wife. 4. Men are perverts - Wrong. Most men are not. Most men don't harass women sexually. Most of them will help you happily if you ask for help politely without any feeling of entitlement. It's only a less percentage of men who're sexual offenders and they're giving a bad name to the entire gender.
5. Men are safe - Wrong. Men are comparatively safer only when rape and molestation is concerned, not to mention that even in that area they're not 100% safe. They're always at a danger of getting kidnapped, looted, killed or being accused of false cases.
6. Men are the powerhouse - We women think that just because men are physically stronger, they can do any heavy work. From shifting of heavy furniture to carrying heavy suitcases, to do such herculinary tasks around the house, we seldom realize that sometimes even they find it hard to do these heavy work, but even then, most of them complete the task and not let the women do it.
7. Men are insensitive - Again because men don't know how to show or deal with emotions, they choose to avoid any conversation that is filled with emotions. So they try to withdraw from such situations, which make women believe that men are insensitive and don't care. Men care, but show the care in another ways.
8. Men are cheaters - Again, today, both men and women cheat. So ignoring the cheating of one gender and calling out the other gender for cheating is hypocrisy. Not all men cheat. Neither all women are monogamous. Both genders are equally doing this now. There are several, several men who stays loyal emotionally and sexually to just one woman their entire life, especially Indian men.
9. Men show love through words - Wrong. 90% of the time if a man really loves you, he will show you his love in ways other than simply saying “I love you”, “you're my princess” or stuff like that. After the honeymoon period, most men return to their normal self and will show you care in normal ways. A man's love reflect in his actions and not just words.
10. Men aren't good with kids or kitchen - I think our society has never given men the chance to primarily carry out these responsibilities, so we cannot comment surely on it. I am sure some men are more capable of handling children and kitchen better than some women, same way like some women will make terrific business women than some men. We need to come out of the gender roles and see an individual's capability too.
11. Men are strong - Externally- yes. But internally, they'll all a soft little rabbit waiting to be pampered by their special woman.
12. Men are cruel - No, most aren't. Respected Kailash Satyarthi Sir is a wonderful example of that. And those who're cruel, they're not men, they're not even humans, they're just criminals of humanity who have killed their conscience.
13. Men are irresponsible - Kindly look at your father and brother, or husband or son, or boyfriend, or male friend. Do you still think you cannot count on these men?
14. Men cannot recognize colors - When it comes to your dresses, shoes, lipsticks and nail prints, they will act as clueless as Ishan Awasthi of Taree Zameen Par. But just give your man a plate full of dishes of different colors and watch him tell you all the colors with shade cards.
15. Men are aggressive all the time - The only emotions that is acceptable from a man in this society is anger and aggression. Remember men are not born aggressive, patriarchy convert their emotions in it. So if you want to control his aggression, try to show him other emotions.
16. Men love being dominant - Well, yes. But sometimes men just wants to sit at the backseat and wants you to take the front seat too. Sometimes they want you to lead and sometimes they love depending on you. Sometimes they don't have solutions and they want you to give them solutions. Sometimes they love following their lady in the matters they knows she can handle better than them. Sometimes they want your shoulder to lean on. Sometimes they want your embrace to protect them.

Both men and women believe so many lies about each other because of society. All we can do is by such answers try to bridge this gap a little between the two genders.
