What Are Some Things A Young Boy Should Always Keep In Mind

Sexuality- As young boys are high on testosterone, they are often driven by their sexual urges which makes them do acts that they either regret in future or ruins their future altogether
  • Say no to ‘Over-Porn'- I won't say that you should never watch porn, because this advice will be impossible to follow by 99% of guys out there. However, you should limit your porn time in a week. Porn is nothing but a fantasy, and there is nothing real. At most, porn makes men believe that normal women can act like porn stars and actual sex is just like the project on the screen.
  • One-night stand or a hooker- Casual sex, either with a girl one met at a bar or fest or party or with a paid hooker is so much more rampant in India now. But before you make this decision, do think about all the safety measures and precautions for a few minutes. Do not place a few minutes of pleasure above your life and health. Be safe.
  • Relationships just for sex- Never misguide a girl and enter into a relationship with her solely for sex. Do you want sex? It is okay to have it when you have made your intentions clear. Never make fake promises to a girl if you have no intention of fulfilling them just for pleasure. You might not realize that the other girl can lose her faith in love altogether.
Relationships: As relationships today are like a status symbol, I see lots of young guys spoiling their bright future in the name of ‘love'.
  • Career first: No girl no matter how much you love her should be given more priority than your studies and career. If you have an exam after a few days and she's asking you to take her on a movie date, tell her you will after exams get over.
  • For the right reasons: Enter a relationship only when you genuinely like her and not for fun. Relationships are serious business and definitely not for entertainment or showing off.
  • Know your value: Don't get mistreated by a girl in the name of love. If she's not treating you the way you deserve to be treated, leave.
Career, friends, and family: Somethings most guys fail to balance.
  • Family first: If you're ever confused about what comes first, then this should be your list: family>career>friends. Whomsoever thinks that friends come before everything, should ask someone who is in the late twenties or early thirties or henceforth about their “best friends”.
  • Choose your career wisely: Don't just follow the herd. Think and plan your career. Make goals. Choose your path. Make strategies. Manage your finances. Invest your time and money wisely from proper career growth.
  • Most of the people aren't your ‘friend': They are just people you know and talk to, and you are just another classmate/colleague/batchmate/connection for them. Stop being confused about “friendships”. Your true friends are only the people you can call at 3 A.M in the morning and cry your heart out over your deepest personal problems and they will listen endlessly without judging. If you cannot do this stunt with a person, he/she ain't your friend darling.
Self-love: The most important part.
  • Don't bottle your emotions: There are various pressures on men, several problems and burdens on their shoulders. Guys are humans too, but often they keep all their pains inside which leads to poor mental and emotional health. I always advise guys to either talk to a friend or at least have a habit of writing a diary which will help in keeping their emotional system clean.
  • Don't go in extremes: Extreme of everything is bad. Don't underestimate or overestimate yourself. Don't be under or overconfident. Don't be too hard or too soft on yourself. Balance your personality.
  • Be patient: Most guys I talk to are impatient. Impatient about relationships, impatient about money, impatient about career. And in this impatience they take poor decisions which leads to failures. So learn patience.
Hope the points are helpful.
