Measure The Roads...!!
This weekend,I was watching one of my favorite flicks of all times,Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (You won't get another life),which is,hands down,one of the best road-movie ever made.3 friends.From 3 different professions.With 3 different approaches towards life.The movie is all about how they re-discover their true-selves,their own spark,which they have lost while being busy,and most importantly,the meaning of life,through a road-trip across Spain.
Road-trips.Honestly,how many of us have ever wanted to go on one ? The answer is,everyone.The country whose roads you want to measure,may differ,some would want to go to France,or Italy,or Australia,or India.But the downright spirit to let yourself free,to let your soul breathe,doesn't change.
But,what is it that makes a road-trip so different from the other conventional means of travelling,like air-planes,trains,buses ?
Our soul,just like our eyes,loves everything colorful and beautiful.Everything that it can feel,everything that it can dance or sing to.No-matter which country you're exploring,the real beauty of that country doesn't lies in it's cities,or monuments.They are the places where the culture of that country lies.The real beauty of a country lies in the places still un-touched by humans,un-changed.Mountains,rivers,seas,forest,fields,green-lands,deserts.By the road-side.When you're on a road,sun shining over your head,warm and bright,wind playing with your face and hair,cool and fresh,music playing inside your car,soft and soothing,or maybe loud and energizing,and of-course,the serenic and natural beauty all around you.How will that feel ? Heaven ? Blissful ? something even more ? Alone or with friends,road-trips have always been,and will always be,a soul enriching experience.No flight,train,or bus could give you that,when you're surrounded by hundreds and thousands of strangers,who're in a hurry to reach somewhere.
To know yourself,life,and how it should be lived,distance yourself from the mountains of work,concrete forests,and rivers of money,for sometime,and go explore some real ones.Meet new people.Dance,Sing,Party,Laugh,live,Eat.Love.Make new friends,create new memories.If you want to be close to yourself,go close to nature in it's rawest form.Go explore.Go on a road-trip.
