Tell Me Who You Are ?

"Before you fall in love with someone else, fall in love with yourself. Before getting to know someone else, try to know your own self.Who are you really, ask yourself this question.Don't get confused between what you've and who you are. You're not your professional degree, you're not your passions, you're not the materialistic things you own,and you're definitely not your favorite color . You're not in the things you've always thought to be yourself.Ask yourself this question "Who am I ? " and if you get an answer that includes what you do or want to do,what you have or want to have,or what you like or dislike, you need another answer."

Finding oneself is the most difficult, yet the most important quest for a person. Some people live for 90 years but  still don't know what really liberates them,or what are the things in themselves which makes them feel most  alive. But sometimes, you can locate a 16 year old, describing themselves so beautifully,it feels like they're reciting poetry.Knowing about oneself is  important, the most important thing you need to do,but still unfortunately maximum number of people don't even feel the need of this.I still cannot comprehend how some people can claim to know someone else, when they don't even know about themselves.Ironical.

When someone is asked "Tell me something about yourself " the instant reply that comes is " I am a doctor/Accountant/Engineer/teacher/artist/musician/writer/etc,etc etc.Or "My favorite color is blue ".Dear people, what if one day,you stop being a doctor or writer. When you're 90,you won't be able to operate with your trembling hands,or write with them. Will you stop being yourself then ? No.Till 22,you weren't an accountant or engineer, weren't you yourself then ? Yes,you were. And what if your favourite color changes from blue to red, will you stop being yourself and transform magically into someone else .Absolutely no.What you professionally are is just a part of your personality, the way you make a living. It is not who you're.Stop getting confused between the different parts of your being, and your being as a whole. Similarly your favorite color is just a color you love the best from the rest of colors, but it doesn't describe who you're.

Similarly, your passions, your hobbies are also just a part of who you are. They can make you feel satisfied, poised and happy, but you happiness, satisfaction and calmness doesn't necessarily depend on them.Like,I love to read, write and travel, but that doesn't mean that I am not happy when I am not doing all these.Because I realize the fact that these are just an integral part of "me",but "me",well "me" is way beyond these 3 three things. And that is what each one of us had to find before we die, what is this "me".

Finding oneself is a slow process, happening every moment, sometimes when you're alone, sometimes when you're with people, but all in all,it is an adventure. So go and roam around streets of your city, and experience a new kind of freedom.Stroll around in wet grass with bare feet, and you'll know that happiness is in the littlest of things.Humm your favorite song while watching sunset, and you'll know what relaxation is.Have some secrets and do not share them, and you'll know what mystery is.
If you've the courage to ask yourself the question,"Who am I ?" you would find every answer of yours in the most unexpected of things. When you're actually on a journey to find yourself, you'll realize that it is the simplest and the littlest things that makes you feel elated.Everything you thought that your life and happiness depends on,ranks a little below in your list. And when you know who you are,and what makes you happy, you can choose right for yourself.Right people, right options. You would know that quality is always better than quantity, and will have some life-long precious friends, and will have the strength to let go of those whose wave length doesn't match with yours. So go on,spend a little time just with yourself, know yourself, fall in love with who you are, then know and fall in love with others, and be happy, content, and successful.

" You need to know things that others
                               don't know.It's what no one
                                  knows about you that
                                       allows you to
                                      know yourself."
