Is Beauty Everything...?
Recently,I met a very close friend of mine.We were chit-chatting,and suddenly,we started talking about my blog.I asked her to suggest some topics,and she did suggested quite a few.So,today.....I am going to pick up a topic which she suggested.
Is beauty everything...? I know,a lot of you will say no,but there are quite a number of people out there,for whom,a person should only be judged on his or her physical attributes.Rest of the personality,character,behavior etc is quite down the list.If a person has a bad hairstyle,he/she is so downmarket.If they have a bad dressing sense,they doesn't belong to the group.If they don't know how to "look good"...they shouldn't be dated and loved.Seriously ?.
Alright guys,tell me one thing.Have you ever see your parents snaps,when they were young ?.I suppose we all have.And look at them now,after 20-25-30 years.No matter how they looked then,do they still look the same ? I think not.But,they are still with each other,aren't they ?.They are still together because they love,support,trust and value each other. Similarly,parents love their children,no matter how they look.Because there is a deeper emotion than looks,and that is love.The fact is,no one is going to be handsome/beautiful for eternity.No-matter how we look now,we all will keep changing.We all will age,even those super-hot actors and models.
See,I am not saying that beauty is nothing.Obviously,all of us should look presentable and nice,as well as we can within our efforts.But,judging or treating someone,based on just their looks is not justified.Sometimes,a lot of us,simply side-track or ignore the one's who we feel aren't good looking enough,without realizing,what effect it could have it on their self-confidence.I have literally seen a lot of people,spending money like anything by going to parlors,shopping etc.Just because they think and feel that if they will start looking good,maybe people will start accepting,and loving them.I mean,it's the inner traits we should look at.How a person thinks,how a person reacts,what they say,what they do,what they talk about,how they treat others,what their perspective is toward various aspects,and most important,how they feel about you.How is it profitable,that you buy a candy,whose wrapper is extremely beautiful and appealing,and taste like a medicine from inside.Its better to instead take medicine,which is outright and straight-forwardly bitter,but cures you.So next time you meet a person,see what and how they are from the inside,because in the long run,that's what is permanent,and that's what matters,more than how they look.Remember,by putting some money and efforts,you can change how a person looks,but it's almost impossible to change a person's traits and inborn character.So,be smart,think smart and judge smart,because after all.....beauty is something,but definitely not everything.And also,when you really love someone,no matter what their relation is with you,they automatically appears beautiful to you.The heart and soul needs to be primarily beautiful.Look out for such people,because,ultimately,they are the one who have the capability to make your life beautiful and happy.
